Reliable Place To Buy Motor?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a reliable place to buy a 13B-RE or an S5 13B-T. Somewhere I can get a motor that's NOT BLOWN or ABOUT TO BLOW. Thanks in advance.

Oh and one more thing, will an S5 13B-T plug and play into an S4? If not, what modifications will be needed?

There is a place in LA called CNS motors that I have used twice for 13b-re, both where good when I got them.

There's this company called Mazda. They're the people who made this motor. Buy an S5 13BT reman and go from there.. that way you KNOW you're not getting screwed with bad parts or anything for sure.

An S5 13BT won't work with an S4... mainly computer/harness/electrical things.

How much money are you willing to spend?

:rlaugh: if you're not going to help don't post.

The S5 WILL work on the S4 but you'll need to work some issues out(harness, ECU etc.)

there are a bunch of companies that sell motors: The Mazda reman is just as good as some of the rebuilds out there but I could not pass up the 1 year unlimited mile warranty......

s4 wont plug and play but you can make it work depending on your mechanical/electrical skill and motivation, and $$

what I recommend to others is to stay within your own series......s4NA body with S4 TII motor and S5 with S5..............keeps things simple and the HP increase is not significant enough to me to warrant the extra work.................

I swapped s5 t2 into my s4 na. I saved myself alot of electrical hassle and got a haltech though.

^^^^^^^^^^ another option but not everyone has an extra 1K lying aroung..............I would have loved to have been able to go standalone..........still would.
