Redline vs. Royal Purple Tranny Fluid
I went to my favorite NAPA, and they do not carry Redline stuff. They do have Royal Purple. They said no one in town carries Redline stuff, so is Royal Purple ok to use insted of mt-90?

Anyone, anyone?
|
Yes :D I plan on draining my redline fluid for royal purple stuff.

Royal Purple is very High quality. A lot of people say it's better than red line. I don't think it makes a difference as long as you use a high quality oil.

Thanks a lot! RP it is then!!!! What kind do I get? Any particular rating I need to look for?
|
75W is the thinnest you can use, 90W is about as heavy as you would want to go.
|

Bump to bumpty bumpdigitty.

N/a's take 1.6 qt in the tranny, and .5 qt in the diff. I dont know it for turbos.
|
in the 86 owner's manual it says 2.1 quarts in the manual trans, 1.4 quarts in the rear axle.
check your owner's manual to be sure. |
