redline buzzer sometimes goes off when I'm taking a right turn
Occasionaly when I take a right turn the redline buzzer will go off
I don't know what else to say other than I have all powersteering removed and a manual steering rack installed |
Check your oil level. When making a turn your oil sloshes to one side, it may be a little low, causing the warning buzzer to go off.

I get this too, but I check my oil regularly. I put in another quart before the autocross and it was still doing it during high G load. I'm learning to ignore it since I don't see anything on the idiot dash and no change in oil pressure.
|
It's only during sharp right turns and it's only occasionaly even then. Happened for the first time 2 days ago and it startled me since the only other time I have heard that sound was when my coolant was low(under 3k revs of course)
|
first time this started happining on mine it turned out that my upper heater hose had ruptured....
second time this happened was because i was low on oil like some have already said |
It could only be one of three things: low coolant, redline buzzer, or low oil. Those are the only reasons that buzzer would go off.

what they all said :)
|
should be checking oil, everytime you put gas in.
|
stop turning right =P

It's probably not the oil level sensor if it's during right hand corners, because the sensor is on the left side of the pan, so when turning right, the oil sloshes to the left side of the pan, keeping the sensor submerged. When turning left, the oil moves away from the sensor, uncovering it. I've experianced the oil buzzer only when turning left, and it even occured after I installed my oil pan baffle. It's not generally considered to be too big a deal unless you're pulling some serious g's and uncover the oil pickup. As long as you still have pressure it should be ok, but to be on the safe side keep the oil level up, and you can even overfill it a bit to compensate.
