5th on 6th ports stuck will not rev past 4K
I have an '86GXL which I have let sit for about 6 months because I had a demo through my dealership. I have moved to another part of the dealership where you do not get a demo. I started my car up and everything sounded fine however it will not rev past 3500-4000rpm under load without missing real bad. I think it maybe my 5th and 6th ports as I cannot move them at all they seemed to be frozen. I am running a header with a tube attached to the ports to create backpressure to open them. Do you guys think this is my problem?? If it is, is there anything I can do with the pots still on the car. Thanks in advance for any replies.

The 6 ports would not stop you from revving.. It would only create a loss of power from 3800+.
It sounds more like your secondary injectors are not pulsing.. Check to make sure that the electrical connector didn't come off somehow.

I know it is not the cats because I am not running any, I should have put that in my original post. I just have a head to a straight pipe to the cat back. I also checked the electrical conections and they do not seem to be loose. Unless the one for the secondaries are under the intake. Everything you can see without taking anything off is still connected.

Hawk 7... bad gas. Dump it. New gas. Injector cleaner. Run for an hour(as in drive with vigor). The secondary plugs are on a fuel rail just below where the black inlet duct connects to the intake. Six months is too long to let gas sit and the car not run. Hey! I know its just a guess. Could be very wrong. Doubt it though. Edit...Whoops, left out the part about checking to make sure the electrical plug and the vac line are secure on the boost sensor on the r/h strut tower. Very important.
