Rebuilt Nippon Denso compressor availability?

I have an 87 Turbo that I converted to V8 20 years ago. The A/C is working fine, but I was looking for a rebuilt compressor in case I ever need one.

Mine is the Nippon Denso compressor, but if I look at Rock Auto, Napa, etc all I see are Sanden compressors. Are the Nippon Denso compressors available? Where?

TIA

The Denso compressor should be the 10p15c frame. If you look that up, you should find an aftermarket like a Four Seasons. You will have to make sure that the pulley type matches. Also, take note that it has a PAG 46 type oil in i

I searched briefly and see what you are talking about. I feel a little safer knowing I can get one if needed, and might buy one just to have. Thanks.

I saw versions for Toyota and Mercedes. Are the internals all the same (valving, ports, etc)?

Any idea why it is referred to as a "frame" rather than "housing", or "case". What does "frame" refer to the type of mounting?

I picked up a Denso AC compressor from these guys: https://acpartshouse.com/

FWIW, I got two years of use on it now since rebuilding my AC system, so far so good. I'm running my restored AC system on R152A (aka - duster gas), and it works great.
