Rebuilding lock cylinder

My drivers side lock cylinder is foobar. I'm mechanically inclined, any locksmiths or anyone that's done this before that can tell me how to fix it, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
Mike

Do you have access to a locksmith Supply Co. You may or may not need new tumblers, flap, spring, outer cap etc. Locksmith usually charges about $25 to $35 in Houston to rebuild one. I realize you may want the experience but the hassle factor might outweigh the scavenger hunt for parts.

Good luck with your project

I kinda want to keep all the locks keyd the same, and I don't want to buy all new locks.

do what i did, take out the drivers side and pass side locks and swap em, who really uses the pass side anyway, it'll be perfect. its simple once you look at it and start to take it apart. just watch out if you take the lock itself apart (not nessesary) a very small steel ball will fall out just dont lose it.
