Rebuild is finally running good!!

I finally got my rebuild running right. The final culprit of my problems was the TPS. I had rough idles, high idles, hesitation, glowing turbo bad timing and a bunch of other little crap. Once I fixed all the other stuff and finally got around to the TPS, I found that it was out of the 1k ohm to 5k ohm range (was about 0.2k ohm to 4k ohm). Once I corrected this and manipulated the bac valve a little I've ended up with an idle around 750-800 rpms. It's still a little rough, but I just rebuilt the engine so it will be a little rough, right? Glowing turbo is practically gone, still a little but I have quite a few cracks in the manifolds so I know it is sucking some air and heating up. Couple of final questions though: Formost, what is the proper oil pressure on a rebuild? Mine seems a little high, around 95-100 on the stock gauge at 3k rpms. Is this normal, better than normal, worse? Also at idle it only drops to about 30. Another question pertaining to the oil system: I took out my air conditioner and condenser, which has left a gap between the oil cooler and radiator. Will this affect the oil coolers function in any way?

Another question: What is the best break-in period for a rebuild? 2000 miles? 3000? thanks. 88 TII by the way.

2000 miles.
Check www.rotaryresurrection.com for break in procedures.

So I guess the oil pressure is good then?

what mile are you at?
my oil pressure was always normal (i cant think of any reason it should be high from a rebuild). 30 at idle is decent. depending on how accurate the gauge is, thats what what i see. 3000rpm i imagine i'm around 60psi (i'm not sure, i know its not where yours is).
what year is your car?

88 TII. I just rebuild the engine and drove it once, so I've got about 4 miles on it. The sending unit did look a little iffy, so I might check that out. Can any mechanical oil gauge work to test this car? If so where do I splice into the system?

should be anywhere from 0-30 at idle ( depending if your gauge is reading right) and 60 at 3k....i don't think it should go past 60 unless there is something wrong.
