Rebuild engine

Hello I took my Rx-7 to get it rebuild but, how do you know if they really rebuild it is there any way of telling other that opening the engine it's self??????

how much is this rebuild costing you? out of curiosity
but just look up on the person thats doing the rebuild ask if anyone else has got him to do it? and if they were satisfied with the results, just check how reliable he is

the rebuild engine is costing me between 800 to 1000, lots of people have told me to take it there, but i just want to make sure before a get ripped off

Who is rebuilding the engine for you?

take a compression test before and after the rebuild. Also make it known that you did the compression check and let him know what the numbers are. This way he will know you know whats up with the engine and will be inclined to fix it right if he planned otherwise.

edit: also 800-1000 seems kind of cheap to me as most of the rebuild kits out there are more than 1k unless he is doing a budget rebuild. check www.rotaryresurrection.com to see what consists of a budget rebuild. I would just ask striaght up what he changes and what he keeps. The more technical questions you ask him the more he will know what you are talking about and will be less likely to rip you off. Also if you are worried about him doing that I would highly recommend getting it rebuild somewhere reliable like rotary resurrection.
