Rear wheel is tucked...

Ok last night as I was driving home, I made this turn. It was wet outside, and I got kind of sideways. I was trying to correct it but I couldn't correct. So I spun out and my front tire went up on the curb, and then the back tired slammed right into the curb. Now there is a big chip in the back wheel, and now my tired looks like it is tucked in. Prior to the accident, it did not look tucked at all. Now when I drove it the car was acting a little funny. When I make a right turn or I am trying to stabilize the car the car veers to the left. Now I'm just trying to figure out what the issue can be. If anyone knows or has had the same problem as I am now, and has some information, that would be nice. I drive an S4 TII....

Thank you
Hasan

Ouch! man that blows! your alignment is probably screwed up now, I'd get it checked out. If you are losing pressure in your tire you will probably also need to get that wheels fixed or replaced. Sorry man!

You need to go get your car an alignment. Let them check to see if anything is broken or bent. Sounds like your camber is way off. Take it easy on those corners. :) Good luck.

Yeah thats what I was going to do soon for sure is get the alignment checked and fixed... So I'm going to get that checked out this week sometime...

Qhasan31 10-01-07 01:52 AM

It doesn't seem to be losing air pressure at all so I think the wheel will be fine for another week or so....

Well I also know that my rear lateral links are bent, but the tired was never tucked like this... I'm in the process of getting those this week. Just waiting for my day off.

That happened in my s13 (not exactly). It turned out that my front right control arm and tie rod broke/bent and my frame needed to be pulled. Get that checked out and fixed asap. Keep us posted.

I did the same thing after a 130+ mph crash... Lateral links bend the easiest...then the "A" arm itself..
