Really, Im Not an Idiot
I've been getting a hesitation/ missing when I punch it from a rolling start. So I bought new spark plugs. Being the double checking type I want to verify that the right coil wire is on the right plug in the right hole.
leading comes from the front coil by the battery? leading is the bottom plug? From what I could tell from the online manual, the only problem is that mine aint the way? I could use a little confermation before I change it and screw up my motor. Where is the correct information found? Really, Im Not an Idiot |
The coils are marked L1/L2, and T1/T2. Leading is lower, trailing is top. 1 is the front rotor, 2 is the rear.
And yes, leading is the coil next to the battery. |
Thanks, and wow with the new plugs the problem is fixed. Now I have to be carefull cause my boost goes to 14 psi.

The secondary throttle plates are supposed to open with a delay. If you are cruising and you punch the gas, the secondary plates are still supposed to open slow.
Any problems with the damper that slows the secondary plates will allow the plates to open full bore as fast as your foot causing a rush of air into the engine. In turn, bucking or hesitaion much like that felt from a bad plug wire at low rpm is not uncommon. Check your secondary plates and make sure they open slower or else dont punch the gas as fast. I think if you secondary plates open faster you will have better throttle responce. High milege rx7's have worn dampers. Havnt seen a good one in a junk yard. |
