Re animeya redom ECU
 

I recenty purchased a longblock JSpec motor w/ ecu, harness, and tranny. The ecu that came w/ it says "REDOM" on the top and on the side it says "for racing purposes only".
so what i need to know is if there is any way to find out what this ecu has been remapped for?I.e( fuel, fuel cut, governor, ignition)
Everything as far as parts go they all appear to be stock.

it is a chipped ecu.
i.e. higher redline, better fuel map, no fuel cut should be the norm

so it should have a fuel cut atleast right?
all im really worried about is if i need to get a FCD for it

I run one in my 91 TII. It works very well, i got it used, and monitor it with EGT and wideband AFR gauges. All i know about the RE REDOM ecus is that they tuned 3 different levels for the S5 FC A, B, & C. The A is suposed to raise boost on a near stock (like cat-back) exhaust and intake using the stock turbo and injectors. The B-type is for higher flow exhaust with no cat. Both A & B are tuned for stock injectors and turbo. I have only heard a couple things about the C-type, but aparently they are all individual tunes for various setups of injectors, porting, and aftermarket turbo's.

Mine has a label that shows what boost it is tuned for with the stock EBC solenoid and injectors and then a "MAX BOOST" for an aftermarket boost controller and higher flow injectors. It also says that it is the B-type, which works well with my racing beat 3" exhaust setup.

The B-type in my car is set for 12.8 psi. My e-boost EBC maintains 12 or less on a mostly stock turbo with stock injectors and i do not have fuel problems. Rewired Walbro Pump.

mine doesnt have the label unfortunetly as far as what its tuned for.
So should i play it safe and get an FCD or assume the ecu will handle fuel cut

As I understand they all eliminate fuel cut, rev limiter, and speed limiter. You should be fine in that respect.

If the ECU came bundled with the engine, and the engine came with the turbo and injectors you should be ok, as likely the ECU is meant for that setup. But I would take it to a tuner or race shop and have it dynoed a few times to make sure it is maintaining correct AFRs.
