RB road race sound levels/quality

I am looking into getting a new exhaust for my 1989 na that I think is ported (po said so) and I like the dual road race setup from racing beat and was wondering what the system is like on the street? It would be from the header back with the presilencers. How would this compare say to the street setup from racing beat. Is it unbearably loud? would I get a ticket? If someone had a clip of one or both of these that would be awesome!

Thanks in advance!

I'm on my phone, so YouTube wouldn't let me copy/paste the link, but if you search 'racing beat RX7 exhaust', that will give you a general idea of the tone. I hear nothing but good things, and it's one of my planned upgrades. Most people will put details of their setup in the descriptions.

I'm in love with the sound of the road race system, it's nothing like what mine sounds like now (Pacesetter header, auto zone cat, monza catback). Sounds like crap and don't even like to rev over 4k in public places.

I have the full road race true duals setup. The car sounds great and really is not that loud. When it is idling I can barely even tell that it's running. However, when you stomp on it you can tell. It livens up the sound nicely. The production quality is exceptional and it fit on my '86 na perfectly. You will definitely not be disappointed!

I got apexi mufflers on with the rb headers, presilencer and y pipe. Its quiet during lite throttle, but when u get on it she screams. I've gone under some bridges and it sounds amazing. I've been waiting to go thru a tunnel.

have there headers and presilencer to a corksport exhaust the noise levels are pretty low until 3500+ rpms, but with a rb system I doubt you will ever get trouble from the law, that system sounds awesome and ive never heard one get even close to a normal single chamber system aka corksport apexi n1 etc.

The road race exhaust is a true twin exhaust. Itll provide the largest increase in power , but significantly more noise than the streetable 2 to 1 header and the power pulse system.

If you dd your car, you may not like the intrusive drone of the road race header.

The majority of the outside car community will laugh at your expensive racing beat system, but this just proves their ignorance.

I don't think I'm alone in saying that racing beat is always a good choice in exhaust.

I don't dd this car anymore, so noise/ drone isn't an issue with me. As long as it does not attract the ticketing hand of the 5-0. (for noise)

I just drove my car for about 8 hours last weekend on the highway with the full rb road race system and it was never even close to droning. I would not call it even remotely loud until around around 4k rpm and at that point it just sounds good and not just loud. Seriously, this exhaust system is definitely worth it.

I have this setup with magnaflow cats instead of r/b cats, but I quite like it. The power increase is definitely noticeable, and my aux ports still work. Its a little droney at about 3k up a hill but relatively quiet at idle. Yes it's load when your foot is to the floor.

This exactly. I used my FC as a daily for nearly 3 years with the RB road race exhaust and I never got tired of it. It's easy to keep quiet if you're rolling through a neighborhood late at night, but it can scream in the higher RPM's too.

I may be driving a slow NA car but it sure as hell sounds good

I'm running the full setup. Even with the headers it's really not loud at all, and adds a nice wirrr to the exhaust note. However my old setup was so blown out that I couldn't hold a conversation over it without yelling.
