RB Road Race Header Question
I recently picked up a header from a good friend and noticed it does not have an O2 pickup or auxiliary tube and was wondering to add the O2 can i simply just tap into the header and install?
also since it is the "true dual" header, what is the best way to adapt it to a Catback system? |
No you should buy an O2 bung and have it welded on.
|
ok. what about getting it to bolt to stock cat?
|
you could buy a RB collector like this one
<a href="http://s573.photobucket.com/albums/ss175/xxpinoysaidhoyxx/?action=view¤t=4-4.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i573.photobucket.com/albums/ss175/xxpinoysaidhoyxx/4-4.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s573.photobucket.com/albums/ss175/xxpinoysaidhoyxx/?action=view¤t=2-3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i573.photobucket.com/albums/ss175/xxpinoysaidhoyxx/2-3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> or just go to your local muffler shop and get a 2 to 1 collector made with flanges to meet the stock cat... in your case you would need to buy the rb flange and gasket to make one |
Racing beat Collector/Megaphone Exhaust Outlet Assembly

Getting the rest of a stock exhaust to work with that header would be expensive and really give you no performance gain. You should probably look into selling it and picking up a proper header that works with the stock exhaust configuration (hint: look at the other RB products). Good luck, -bill |
yeah i understand what you mean wrankin. But i mean if im doing the work it really isnt all that bad. I was thinking of fabbing a presilencer to run to a "standard" cat-back like the catback rb or corksport.
oh also. For all those who say the corksport catback is loud....you must have serious super powers cause there is no way in hell you can hear that on the freeway and its a super low tone just city driving. |
