Rarest and jsotelo finally meet in person!
 

Okay so for months we have been trying to hook up but for whatever reason it never worked out. Finally I lost my job and have lot of free time on my hand so it becomes much easier! Kev will probably do some kick ass write-up but he has to work tomorrow so I think I'll beat him to the punch.. oh and he is a much better photographer than I so I only have 2 usable pics.. he has a few more.

Anyway so we meet at Wendy’s off Sunrise and Folsom blvd.. I'm perfectly on time and he's taping at his watch over me being 30 seconds late.. whatever.. I'm wasted hungover.. I mean I was destroyed last night by a rather potent mix of substances.. it was my friends graduation from Sac State and we started at 2pm... around 8pm I was stone cold passed out.. it was a BAD scene... He's lucky I'm not puking at home.. lol

Anyway to cut to the chase yes guys and gals.. the GTUs kicks much ass.. I was in awe of it's sunroof less glory.. oh and true duals is the SHIT.. it sounds sooo good. I need it baby!! better get a job first huh.. Oh and the powder coating on the meshies is TOP NOTCH! serious they look soo good in person. Well first we took my 7 around back in the Rancho Cordova business park right near the .com that fired me actually.. but I digress.. there are some really cool turns out there and so I drove for a bit and then went back to his car. Nothing too harsh or anything just some fun driving..

Okay so Kev gets into his baby and says.. let me let it warm up first.. two seconds goes by and he floors it.. starts mobing around.. says let me show you the power of the four pistons and then slams down on them.. very nice.. hehe I notice right off the bat that he has more power and I can really feel the LSD push us around. It's a slick ride for sure. His suspension is tighter and feels more tuned.. his steering is wacky thou.. and then I figure out it's the damn power steering.. more on that later

Anway so we drive for a bit and find a little corner he decides he is gonna drift.. so I hold on and he goes at it.. he goes too far to one side and over corrects (wham).. what was that sound? It was me getting the shit slammed out of my melon by his car! lol So we drive for about 200 more yards and he pulls over and says you drive.. shit yeah I'm not gonna pass this up.. So I hop in.

He has the TII seats and I have the base seats.. his sit higher but hold you MUCH better.. I like them a lot. He has the same pedals as I do but he also has the stock shifter and I have a short shift so while it feels like I might be driving my car obviously it isn't and it's odd. So I am driving and it's faster than my car.. man it's nice.. smooth.. I like the way the engine revs a full 1K higher.. I like the power band.. it's nice.

I go to take a turn.. not too fast or anything.. do a little heel toe action.. OMG!! the power steering sucks ass.. it's sooo sensitive.. I turned it just a little and it went a lot!! WHAM the rear of the car slides out from under me.. I was NOT expecting that shit that scared me.. my car would have grip turned the corner but his did power over.. that LSD is a trip.. it's so easy to push the car out but it holds well.. those dual spinning tires are nice.. anyway.. after that I decided I'm not gonna push his car.. don't wanna wreck it.. but he gets all disappointed.. come on man you can push it.. drive faster.. LOL.. naw I say.. don't wanna wreck your baby. It's just too odd driving a car that's almost like mine but just handles so much different.. it's scary because I anticipate that it's going to do one thing and it does another... I could also imagine me wrecking his car and being flamed to death over killing a GTUs.. not gonna do it!!

So all this time we forgot to take any pics.. but we go get my car and decide to go back to his house.. so we get stupid on the road and freeway.. Do some slides.. draw attention to ourselves.. Kev wants to show off so we do a drag starting off in 3rd gear at about 60 MPG.. he pulls hard away from me.. :( oh well I'm stock exhaust with 3 cats and he is running true duals... bastard So we drive stupid some more.. take pics at 80 mph of each other on the freeway (don't try this at home) and then go back to his place to watch some dude who built a helicopter fly it on TV and then watch some rally and motorcycle racing.

So I bounce out around 10 and will have to do some real driving next time when I'm not so damn hungover!

Kev's hella cool and can't wait to kick it with him again!

Thats pretty kewl, And I have to agree that kev's wheels look awsome (although I haven't seen them in person). PS rocks, your just not used to it. (this coming from someone who is ripping his PS out).

Sounds like a blast!! Nice cars too! Those wheels do look nice, and what kinda wheels do you have?

kev's car always impresses!! those bronze 16s look nice on that shade of blue though...I see tru-duals and S5 tails in your future hehe what kinda suspension do you have?? I also don't really know kevins suspension setup either.

Sounds like great fun, the other day i met up with some guy in town who owns a Tii, i own a 87 n/a. so you can probably expect some nice stories soon... anyways, both cars look awsome, who makes those rims you have on your car jsotelo? they look great :D

jsotelo sounds like fun. Too bad I moved from lincoln california last summer, its only like 15 miles from sac.

Thanks, I love the s5 tail lights but there are other things I want to do with $200.00 :) True duals.. now that's a posibility ;)

I have AGX shocks and I don't know the kind of springs.. I bought them with the car they are kinda.. bouncy.. maybe Kev can describe them better.

Thank you. Those are actualy 16in Rota Circuit 8 bronze rims. They are universal 4 lug, weight about 16 lbs each. They are Mugen MF8 knock offs but it's okay.. real Mugens don't come with a 40 offset and are over $300 a pop.

I think both those cars are awesome. And some S4 base models came w/o sunroofs, but I hear that it is rare to find one.
