Rare Type - Rain Leak

I have this problem:

Another leak possibility that no one ever mentions is the rear hatch glass seal itself. It can fail which causes water moisture to go between the glass and seal and then INSIDE the rear glass frame and comes out around the hatch latchesor hatch frame drain holes.
It is also kind of common on older cars. The fix for this is to take it to a glass shop and they remove and reseal the hatch glass. A temp fix is to run a sealant bead around hatch glass and frame.

I can actually hear the water sloshing around in the hatch frame. Would i be better of looking for a used hatch, rather than getting a glass shop to fix?

Thanks

your drain plugs are probably filled with LOTSA crap. There is one on either side of the rear hatch glass (I had this problem when I bought my car due to pine needles and crap).

take a stick or some thin insulated wire and push it down in the drain holes a little... don't force it unless you have to cuz you get no effect... that should help the water slosh problem.

Thanks NeCr0mStR, but no this problem is exactly what i posted. all my drains are fine, etc.

The hollow shell around the glass is full of water!

oh
wow that is odd... sorry to misread then...

wow that is a new problem. new hatch?

Yeah, replace the hatch... they usually are less than $150 at most junk yards with the glass.

Since when it latches it becomes a structual member you don't want it weakend by rust or corrosion internally.

ya......................... what?? i have never hered that. but i would say have the glass taken out and re sealed properly back in befor finding a new hatch
