this was exposed and touching the the body when i found it today and yesterday my car took a shit. misfiring mad hesitation and positive cable was blazing hot when i took it off to be safe. do you think that would have been the cause of it? here is the thread from yesterday.

barkz is being sarcastic..lol..but in a Friendly way...Woof!
That wire comes off the battery and feeds the engine bay fuse block. It is also incorporated to the alternator wiring.
So if that wire was hitting ground,it would cause voltage drop.battery shorting(HOT positive..ouch),arcing if was just tapping on ground, etc, etc etc.
It would be like playing castanets with booster cables..zap,zap,zap.
..I know that wire well..when you rewire, remove and re-install stuff and forget that wire, you remember it..forever.
