Alright I went through quite a few threads on radiator choices...and one radiator that looked nice, but was NOT covered that well was the Mazdacomp radiator. I have already ruled out the koyo radiator since I saw a few people unhappy with it. I don't want to start a thread with people trying to defend it or anything. The three choices I am debating on are: mazdacomp, fluidyne, or griffin. I have heard people say they love their fluidynes and griffins....just need some info on mazdacomp. I saw one person say that it was so big that the only fan that would pull enough air for it to cool was the black magic...does this mean that it is TOO big? I am going to have a 350-400 rwhp car and want the best cooling I can get. I have never heard of a radiator being too big or anything, but the mazdacomp is 2" thick I guess...any other info on it?

Please post links to sites that have it for sale. Feel free to compare the three radiators I posted above.

You are obviously fabing your own brackets and so on. Well then! First rule of cooling. Always make the radiator do the work and not the fan. You should always go as beefy as you can handle in your setup. Draw it all out figure everything out placement and so on. Then give the number to www.aluminumrad.com and have them build it for you.

As far as the fan not being able to cool b/c the RAD is so big :-/ If the RAD is 17in and so is the fan it pulls through 17in worth of fins. If it is 30in the fan still pulls through 17in. However you have heat soak ability. The massive amount of coolant go heat back up what you are cooling. This does not mean it heats back up to the full temp but that it balances out.

A race system is designed to be driving hard and fast. Fans cut off at high speeds. The air forcing through does all the work as it is sapost to.

I think he meant big in thickness terms. 2 inches is a pretty thick radiator. I'm not going on an all out race application. Weekly I will drive my car, but I do have a heavy food and love the sound of a spooling turbo :P But on weekends I go out and race. I just want to keep the intake temps as low as possible, especially in this 110 degree heat. And I am going to run one of the three I listed..just need more info on the mazdacomp and a site where I can get one to decide.

I believe you should be able to get a Griffin rad that is just as big as a MazdaComp.

If that is the case, go with whichever is cheaper as they should both be able to hold down the temps.

The biggest radiator doesn't work the best. The design plays a huge role in it. (I think ><; )

It's overpriced for what it does.
