Radiator Drain plug

ok i have the 1986 rx7, and i need a radiator drain plug. and i cant find one any where. and i am gettting really pissed. autozone like doesnt have anything u have to order everything.. i think it like $15 for it which is rediculous... can i just go to the local handyman/ ace hardware store and find a screw with the same threads? WTF

i was thinkin bout calling a junk yard that has an rx7, but i doubt they will send me a 20cent part...they prob just blow it off.

a) try the classifieds, maybe someone selling a radiator will pull it for you

or

b) seal the hole with some RTV sealant or something and pull of the lower hose off when you need to drain it

or

c)buy a new one from lowes (i searched and according to someone it's 12 x 1.25 x ~10 long)

i doubt you can seal it up with silicone, it would have to be epoxy. if i were you i would get a bolt that is the same thread, with a head that fits nice into the reset area, than use a oring over the bolt to seal it up, thats what i did to my KOYO, it came without plugs :(. i think used a 10mm bolt but i dont think they are the same. if you dont find on i have one at home i can send you. just pm me your info.
