sorry for sooo many questions but which cap should have the spring thing on the bottom of it? the radiator or the water pump neck?

RoninAutoBoX 10-26-03 03:17 PM

no prob. good luck! :)

Rotory 10-26-03 05:16 PM

which cap should look like what?

Wankels-Revenge 10-26-03 09:29 PM

im pretty sure the filler cap (just above the thermostat) is the flat one. The one on the radiator has the springy stuff on it.

cool thats what i thought. i still need to get 2 brand new ones. can you get them from anywhere except a dealership?

Probably...but i personally wouldn't. I find that OEM parts are better than aftermarket parts.....for applications like this anyway.

yeah i knew the aftermarket ones are shitty i was just wondering if i could get an OEM cap and Autozone or if i would HAVE to go to a dealer

RoninAutoBoX 10-27-03 01:33 AM

Go to the dealer. Please go to the dealer.

If you have a series 4, the flat cap goes on the radiator and the one with the spring on it should be on the neck above the thermostat if I am not mistaken. That is the way it is on my friend's 86 SE anyway.
