jesus christ dude....that is it...the damn filler cap....i changed it with a different one off my parts car cause i thought it looked in better condition. I forgot all about it...it was my filler cap!!! i wonder if that caused alot of pressure and maybe blew that screw off. thanks foir you help wankels revenge and ronin

sorry for sooo many questions but which cap should have the spring thing on the bottom of it? the radiator or the water pump neck?

im pretty sure the filler cap (just above the thermostat) is the flat one. The one on the radiator has the springy stuff on it.

yeah i knew the aftermarket ones are shitty i was just wondering if i could get an OEM cap and Autozone or if i would HAVE to go to a dealer

If you have a series 4, the flat cap goes on the radiator and the one with the spring on it should be on the neck above the thermostat if I am not mistaken. That is the way it is on my friend's 86 SE anyway. |
