Racing seat and roll cage question

First off I know this has probably be covered time and time again, but I'm just to the point of frustration and need to find out for my application. Please HELP!

Racing seats... I need some that will dropped me down an inch or two from the stock GXL leather seats. I've now tried three different seats and each of them have had issues either to wide or raised me an inch.

I need seats that work for a 6'1" 34in wide

Second question... I'm looking for a rear cage with door bars. Do not want upper cage due to height. Needs to have harness bar. I just can't seem to find the cage any where.

Deleting the sliders and bolting directly to the floor will save you about an inch.

was thinking about that already, but also would like to find a set of seats that are thinner in the bottom section also. my prefer would be a 2 to 3in drop.

wow um that made no sense. My car is gonna be for the road and track and I need a seat that I can fit in the car with a helmet on. I'm probably looking at removin the sliders as it is.

Kirkey aluminium bolted in with no sliders.

As others have already said, shaving the sliders is one of the only ways. I shaved everything off the stock sliders to be left with flat brackets. Then I welded a piece of sheet steel onto either side (the sidemount hangs off the back of the stock bracket, so I had to extend the mounting surface). I'm just not ready to remove the sheet metal holding up the seat brackets to mount directly to the floor.

You are on the right track for style of seat, as you will need a composite bucket sidemounted to get as low as possible. I chose a seat that I can also take the seat cushion out of, but leave in the leg cushion, for that extra .5in. For auto-x or a track session I dont really notice that I'm sitting on solid composite, ymmv.
