racing-beat, older or a new one? (cat-back)
hey guys,
my friend just told me a few hours ago, that he has found the "Old type" of the racing-beat cat-back for my S5 TII. i was going to buy the new one racingbeat offers. but hey i could get the old-style one mayb cheap, and could buy some other stuff for my rex also :) since my friend isnt online now, i wanted to ask you guys what u think? is it worth buying a new one? and what are the differences between them? sound? material? reliability? performance? (for the future too.. want to hit max. 300hp i think) looking forward to your replys :) |
Old ones tend to rust from what I hear, that's about it.
|
oh i see, no stainless steel huh?
what should the price, of a rustfree used old cat-back be? and how about the sound of it? the same as the new one? performance? |
I picked up a used RB Catback in EXCELLENT shape for $450.
It was almost new... |
lucky pig :(
i hope its in a good shape, so i could save money a little bit. |
I'd go with a new RB full exhaust. Their products are designed for Mazdas.
|
and the older one not? i think they are designed especially for rotary engines.
does somebody has pics of his RB? i asked so many time in the visual thread, but it seems they guys there are to lazy to put their pics up or somewhat else.. if you dont want to put them online, pls send them to: andreas-lieder@t-online.de would be happy about every picture! soundfiles would be awesome too :) |
Mine is old one and black paint is peeling off from the cans.
|
why do they tend to rust? my friend told me its stainless steel painted black
