Racing Beat Full Cat Dual Exhaust
 

I am looking into getting a RB exhaust and lucky me, I found someone selling their used RB Full Cat Dual Exhaust for $350-$400. Just wanted to know if it is worth it for a used one? What should I loook for in terms of wear n tear and things like that. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Ok are you talking about a collected dual outlet RB exhaust with one cat or an uncollected dual outlet with twin cats?

In any case you should look for rust dings and dents and the overall condition of the system.

Twin Cats

Twin cats with separate piping for each exhaust port...kinda like the mazdatrix set-up, could even be the mazdatrix setup...haven't seen it yet.

It's worth it IF your talking about the totally seperation of each rotor exaust and it has the two presilencers (never seen one with two cats in lieu of presilencers, don't get around I guess).

Why bother? you will need to somehow modify the split air tube to supply both cats with air wont you? will the stock air pump even be enough for both of them? I don't like that idea for an exhaust sorry :) the point of a dual exhaust is maximized flow isn't it? I would think that two cats would be harder to do and when it comes to replacing them where will you go? I would much rather get a bonez hi-flow cat with an RB cat-back and streetable header.

I saw this on ebay- its rusted all to hell and its just the mid section I believe.

I beleive that I saw this aswell. That was for an FB not an FC.

The person I talked with didn't post on eBay, but another site. She lives about 2 miles from me, so it might be worth my time to check it out. Thanks for all the input though.

well if you are going to keep cats on the exhaust I would think they would drop the HP below the point that it is worth the extra weight so just get a single with a hi-flo cat.
