just wanted to know if the s4 driverside power window switch is the same s5 and will it hoook up properly and function ?

it is not the same, however the plugs are. So you can plug in a S4 switch and have it work a S5 just fine.

The S4 power windows switches are a good upgrade for the crappy S5 model power window switches.
