Quick Lowering Questions

Im in the middle of installing my AGX shocks and Intrax Springs, i have a small problem, the old bump stops won't slide down the agx shocks, i could just dremel out the hole in the bump stop to give it more clearance...any problems with this?? also does the bump stop need to be cut? thanx

I think they will cover it when there is weight on it. When I jack up my car to change the oil it looks like that but when I let it down it matches right up. Its just b/c its not compressed. I think that is what you are talking about. Let me know if I helped at all.

Disregard this post, after looking at the stock shock i realized the bump stop is SUPPOSED to sit that high.

how do you torque down the rear shocks?

vosko 04-20-02 04:40 PM

which part ?

TurboMike 04-20-02 04:43 PM

the bolt that actually holds the springs and all that other crap on the shock. Damper bolt i think its called in the haynes manual

when turbovr6 and i did my suspension on my TII. we used an impact gun. you can use a regular socket for the bolts on the strut mount. where in nj are you ?

TurboMike 04-20-02 04:58 PM

i tried that but the shaft on the shock just spins and spings. Im from Barnegat, down near Toms River and Long Beach Island......exit 67 on Parkway. you??

vosko 04-20-02 05:02 PM

it just keeps spinning...... you put the strut mount on top ? does it spin after you tighten it or it won't tighten and just spins. its not supposed to spin... i'm up in parsippany, north NJ. make sure you checkout the NE forum for events ;)
