questions about exhaust and susp
going with a true dual system and just want to get everything done right for the bestt power gains.
who would have a better header for me to use mindtrain or RB? I am going to run 2 inch all the way back but I am curious what would be the biggest size muffler core I should use also was wondering right where the stock y pipe would take place would it help if I put a x-pipe there or would that cause power loss and does anyone know where I can buy just the N1 cans do I need to run pre-silecners with this setup or could I get away without them as for the susp would there be much of an jump in vibration or noise using a solid diff mount? and the racing strut brace that mazdatrix sells is it worth it? |

an x-pipe would be beneficial since it would help even out the pulses causing a deeper/smooth sound. As for power loss, I doubt there would be much if any. If it were my I'd go for an x or H pipe configuration.

X-Pipe on a Rotary?
X Pipe on a rotary? I've heard of people using those on V8's with dual exhaust but this is the first time I'veheard this for a rotary.
Mazdatrix seems to imply that pure dual separate pipes gives the best performance for the NA. Was I reading between the lines too much on their site? Have you had the chance to hear straight dual vs. x-pipe dual exhaust setups? How does the straight dual sound? Is it nasty compared to the smoother sound of x-pipe? the x-pipe helps to equalize pressure between the dual setup, and is to make the exhaust scavange better
I have a dyno of two runs but it is on a boinger motor and it looked to make a good size difference in bringing power up through most the power band. oeak was only up like 5-8 hp/tq but low end saw gains of over 10hp and 20 ft/lb tq I can get the dyno numbers for yeah if you guys want to see them |

well if nobody has the dyno on a rotary I might do it myself then
just make it to where I can bolt up the x-pipie and then if I dont like it to put just put dual pipes in there instead. already going to have a place set up so I can bolt in some presilencers if it is too loud but then take them out and put straight pipes instead when racing. oh and as for the exhaust sound I am hearind that the x-pipe will make it a higher pitch... oh yeah does anyone know how much it cost for dyno runs? if I am to do this I will do a before and after for everyone to help the N/A ppl out |

so far my only probs are where to get the pipes and the muffs and which header to get.
want the N1 cans but dont know where I can get just them. and which header do I get. mindtrain or RB? |
