Not really, I am just feeling a bit surly today...
Nothing wrong with the question, I just dont think N/As can ever be all that fast. But once someone shows me a 13 sec timeslip from an N/A (WITHOUT NITROUS!) I will gladly eat my words. Jarrett |
If I had boost I would still love N/A's what's your problem :D
|
Give me until next spring, I am hoping to break 13s N/A.... *Hoping* being the key word...;)

Is your car 100% stock right now or what? What is done to it allready... some easy things to do is gut the cats and ditch the stock air box if you still have those.

I dont have a problem, I happen to like N/As! I have just accepted the fact that dollar for dollar, you can get TWICE the RWHP out of a Turbo. NOW, before you go singing about how they arent reliable and all that. Keep in mind, I DONT CARE! I can afford new motors and all that. It doesnt bother me. But honestly, I am not bashing the N/A! Just stating the facts. Jarrett Shoot I would bash N/A's if I had a TII especially on the track, Well I would still like the 88 GTU, but that is only because I have one. I want to sell it and and buy a TII, but I can't seem to get rid of it. |

From the FC FAQ:
I just got my car and I want to make it faster, what are the first modifications I should do? Do a full 60K tune up, replacing all the fluids (including brake, clutch, tranny, engine oil, coolant, and rear end lube), spark plugs and cables, all filters (including fuel, oil and air), belts, any hoses that are leaking or bulging, and the O2 sensor. In addition if the car is more than 10 years old or has more than 120K miles on it, the Pulsation Dampener should be also replaced. |
Wow, I didn't know you used that as your primary go fast mod as well Icemark. That's what I always suggest when people ask how to 'go faster', it's always a 'full tune-up', tends to yield the best results so far ;)
|
yeah, people want to go out and blow money on go fast parts, when the car isn't even running with all of its 146 or 160 horses running...
Tune up, so the car is running at its best first... then fix anything broken... then spend money on go fast stuff... It's not very glamorous or FATF... but it is the right way. |
