Question for everyone who has done the 5 speed swap

alright im about half way through the swap still waiting for some parts to come in, but i have everything that needs to be out of the car out. What did you guys do about the transmission cooler lines? Also does any one have or know the size of the bolts that bolt the pressure plate on to the flywheel, I need them all.

Thanks
Dan

You can just remove the lines from the radiator, the manual does not need them. And the bolts for the pressure plate are different sizes if I remember correctly. I think there are maybe 6 short ones and 4 longer ones with little spacers. They may be different depending on what type of p/p clutch setup you have.

This is going to sound a little off, go to the hardware store buy grade 8 bolts in differents sizes, fit them and then return the ones that don't fit after you clean them up( make sure you use grade eight hardware). This should save you some money in the long run, or not.

Make sure that you take an old bolt with you to check the thread pitch

yea i think that im gonna have to take the whole flywheel with me cause i do not have any of the bolts

do you have to block off the tranny cooler lines at the radiator, can you just screw in a bolt and block it up that way
