Question about rear brake and ground wire

I have 2 questions. First...what do you people use to ground your amp wire? I'm having a horrible time finding a good ground that doesn't kick on and off. I've tried the strut tower and I even drilled a screw into the metal under the carpet in the hatch area, which also didn't work. I need some suggestions.

And also....I was trying to drive in the snow in my yard today and my right rear tire locked up and wouldn't spin at all. What is this caused from? And what will happen if it does it while I'm driving down the highway?

Thanks guys. Oh yeah, it's an 87 GXL.

Run a ground wire back to the battery. But a properly bolted ground should not cut out. Are you sure your terminal is attached properly? 99% of the the time people's crimps suck.

Your rear brake might be dragging. DO NOT drive it on the highway until you correct the situation. The fluid heats up due to friction and then locks the caliper.

Did you sand off the paint where you attached the ground? That always helps.
I agree with Aaron, fix your brakes.

"And what will happen if it does it while I'm driving down the highway?"

Use your imagination. It'll likely be about that bad.
