Question about my rims and new tires...

I have some 16" rims that are 7" wide i think..and right now they're on 205/45/16 tires...they're honda tires right now and make my wheel wells look huge...is it possible I can get a bigger tire to lessen the gap? also what kind of tire sizes looks decent for 16's? I want wider back tires..how big can i go with that rim?

A 7.5" rim will accomodate a 235 series tire...

the stock 16x7 T2 size is 205/55R16, Keep those in the front and GO with a 225/50R15 in the rear. Thats a good setup, besides that go with some after market rims. I have a 17x7.5 and im running 22/45R17 Falken Azenis. Perfect size and at stoc height I am always asked if my car is lowered, but make sure u get a good medium offset wheel, I had a set of acura TL type S wheels, and they looked really good but they have a very positive offset. ANd they rubbed on the front springs untill i put a thin spacer, but then u grab less threads. It worked fine but its always in the back of ur mind
