A question about braided brake lines.
Looking into purchasing a set of braided brake lines at the moment and have narrowed my search down to two sites. The first being mazdatrix offering these: http://www.mazdatrix.com/j-sslines.html(4 piston second from top)
And racing beat offering these http://www.racingbeat.com/RX7-1986-1...nts/14526.html I was just curious as to if anybody has any experience with either products and more importantly does it REALLY make a difference if I go with the namebrand? I'm also curious as to why the mazdatrix ones are dot approved and the rb ones aren't?? Thanks for your help guys!!!:icon_tup::nod: |
If you want a brand with a good reputation get Goodridge.

Thank you for your input and the suggestion  but I'm looking to order from one of these two as I'm also ordering other stuff.Anybody else have any info on what I asked??

Mazdatrix also offers a "racing" brake line kit which is very similar to the racing beat kit in price and construction (and uses "r-blines" in the url).
The DOT approval certification just means they paid for testing and/or built them according to those exact standards. Ex. A 6-point harness is not DOT approved, but is much better in a caged race car than a standard DOT approved seatbelt. Personally, I've been using another "DOT approved" brake line kit for years without issue. |
1st link doesn't work and the Racing Beat ones look fine. Expensive for what you get, but that's RB for ya.
