qeustions to ask when buyin turbo rx 7

i own a n/a rx7 and i found a turbo by me. its a 90 and it says it runs good and is for $4995. does that sound about right for the price. what should i check on the car so i no it dosent die on me. i no the compression but what should the compresion be and what should i check on the turbo so i no it will last. thanks.

also i have on my car now the corksport ss cat back. would i be able to switch the the cat backs and put the corksport on my new turbo rx7. im not sure but i thought the site said it fits both turbo and n/a. please correct me if im wrong

the site says

3" diameter that tapers to 2.5" at the end to allow mating to the stock cat. converter.

so would that work or should i just get a new exhaust

I bought my t2 from a dealer an I got him down $2500, whenever he'd come back to me with his new "good" price I would deni and I stood @ my original price, I started to walk out of the dealer's office 2 times he would always go "wait, wait let me see what I can do", he'd keep coming back w/a lower price until It was where I wanted it

I used to sell cars, the first thing I would ask is if it's a trade in or a auction car. Most likely it's a trade in so they probably got a good deal on the car. But the first thing you should do is figure out how much you want to pay for the car. Be honest with the guy and just offer a little under the figure you are willing to pay to see how much he will move. Management likes to see movement in a deal so if you offer a little lower than you want to pay you can move a little. When he comes back with a price give him your final price and be prepared to walk. If they don't meet your price then WALK. There will always be cars around.

none of the dealers around here have t2's... or rx's in general... are you guys just seeing them in the lot as you drive by? or are you guys actively looking and stuffers?

Price is right for a S5 with <85K miles...but you didn't say how many miles...

The only 7s i've seen at dealerships were heaps at the low budget places, never trade-ins at real dealerships (factory). I happened by mine driving to work one morning and it was mine 2 weeks later.

i was looking for a while and came across this. i called the guy but never got ahold of him so im not sure on the miles.

can anyone tell me what the compresion should be at

how much did you end up payin. thats alot to money to bring down from the origenal price. what would you feel would be a steady price like 3500 or 4000.

thanks
