Q about a FMIC?

Does anyone know if a stock EvoVIII FMIC would be suitable to use? I'm not sure on the dimensions of it but, do you think I would have any problems using it? I mean beside custom tubing and whatnot.

its a decent core, anything is possible, since people use npr's, volvo's, starion's, and all sorts of other stock ic's in the 7.

Sounds good. I might give it a shot.

you might have to pay extra because it says "evo" so I would just get a intercooler with the dimentions you want. I got the greddy kit but if I made one I would have used a spearco core.

No, I have a chace to buy an actual Stock EvoVIII (right off the car) intercooler for about $150. I think it sounds pretty good for a new intercooler plus it looks to be a good size.

do it....couldn't hurt

for $200 you can get a slim aftermarket fmic, perfect fit for the stock bumper opening.

I was looking at the EVO cooler before I plumbed my FMIC and I'm glad I didn't get it because you'll have fun. The way the inlet and outlet + the size of it, you'll have to take the front bumper off to get clearance and mount it. Then you'll have to figure out the pipes. That in mind I bought mine for $220 to the door and I wish the in/outlets were on the very bottom of my cooler. This isn't to detour you but I would suggest to consider how much work and cash you want to put into it.

You think I could try to mount the IC upside down so that the pipes wouldn't so difficult to put on considering the in/outlets curve downwards?
