Damn, I think you just saved me a ton of money! I almost bought a Braille battery a few weeks back, but now I know better. Thanks for the info!

well i let the car sit for about 3 days and when i went to start it fired up just fine. it has been a little cool at night too, below 10 degrees celcius.
no problems with the battery so far, i'm liking it. :)

I have this battery in my Cobra. It has enough cranking amps to start the car easily (V8), but if it ever dies on you, its toast. Mine has died a few times, and when its fully charged, its good for about 3 starts until it just doesnt have enough juice to start the car. Its CCA is rated for like 2 or 3 seconds, where the bigger optima battery would be around 10-15 seconds. So if your car has starting issues, be weary. Also, I found that even if the car sat for months on end, it kept whatever charge it did have. My car turned over after the winter of not starting for about 2 months...

I just saw this thread and thought I would add a few pics of the Batt box I made when I had access to a TIG welder and a few other tools, but I failed to complete it with a nice battery tie down. Maybe I'll finish it in the future. I used a battery strap. My hood is cf so I'm not in a big hurry

looks good guys. i guess these small batteries leave room for intercooler piping, in addition to being lightweight. :)
