ah, I see, I had thought u mean advancing as related to idle setting of CAS. I guess I'll ask the tuners to try 4 degree CAS advance and see how it runs. I was hoping I'd be able to move at least 7 degrees of advance and still make more power from that. I guess 4 degrees should be a decent starting point.

I saw a S5 NA make a run on the dyno and do around 130 at the wheels ... then just a quick guestimate of cranking the CAS and it make 12hp more. Back to back runs, no other changes.

Did you see how much he cranked the CAS back?

Approx 10 degrees ...

interesting.........

I had thought that 7 was about the limit based on the feedback from the thread, anyone else have any other experiences?

It was Chris Green of Wolf EMS who did it ... just gave it a crank and ran again, the exact amount of advance, I don't know.

Rtek 2.0 would be way better than just turning the CAS. This makes me want to buy one for my GTU. I had originally planned to get a 2.0 for my Turbo II but then I decided I will just save my money and get a full standalone

I'm also wondering if that NA S5 was setup stock and stock timing before it had it's CAS adjusted. It could've been that the CAS was set retarded first before it was adjusted.
