Pulling a code 13,30 and 33?

says it's the pressure sensor on the intake manifold, Solenoid valve - split air bypass (which color is this), Solenoid valve - port air bypass. anyone have any of these parts?
thanks!

Have you ever replaced the vacuum hoses on your car? If you did, and you replaced the one on the pressure sensor, did you take out the air restriction pellet that was in the old line and put it in the new one? If you didnt thats probably causing your problem as the same thing happened to me:) If not, check the voltage on the pressure sensor to see if its good, if you dont know how to do this check out the FSM on fc3s.org.

thanks! yeah i did replace some of the hoses, which one is the one for the pressure sensor?

M5150 03-31-03 06:21 PM

i did hose work as well, i never put in a pellet in that line, what would that do to my car, and can i buy a new one from a mazda dealer?

*a*jones* 03-31-03 06:56 PM

this is the last straw, that damn solenoid rack has been giving me fits since i bought the car, it's coming out tonight

BlackRx7 03-31-03 07:00 PM

my car seems to run fine without the restrictor pill...

hybridracer 03-31-03 07:05 PM

Its just a tiny little plastic pellet that has about a pin sized hole in it that restricts the amount of air being sucked through the vacuum line. Oh and its the hose running from your pressure sensor to your intake manifold. The pressure sensors is the little black box on the passenger side strut tower in the engine bay. What it will do is mess up your idle slightly and at high rpms your engine will stumble. At least thats what mine did. Im not sure if you can order the part from mazda or not but what you can do is use a jet from a carb. Im not remembering what size it is. Or you can just go to a junkyard and gank the line and cut it open and put the pellet in your line.

Ah well I also see you have a turbo II not and N/a, so you have a boost sensor and not a pressure sensor. His code is a 13 which is a pressure sensor. Im not sure if Turbo II's have this pellet since what the boost sensor does it sense how much boost the engine is seeing which isnt what a pressure sensor does. Not sure though. Hell I didnt even know the damn thing existed until Don Marvel pointed that out as one of my possible problems and sure enough when I replaced it it solved both my problems.

*a*jones* 03-31-03 07:36 PM

no man , it's an n/a , it just has TII rotor housings

sorry , just caught you were talking to blackrx7

hybridracer 03-31-03 07:50 PM

Heh reading over it I thought it might come off as if I was talking to you but I figured you all would figure out my random ramblings for yourselves:)

anyone have a picture? i can't find the damn thing.

hybridracer 04-01-03 07:45 AM

I dont have my car anymore to take a picture:( But I do have a spare pressure sensor I could send you a picture of. You know where the strut tower is right? well if you look at the part facing the front of the car, you should see a black box about 2 and half inches long that has N350 if its a series 5.

Here's a pic

Ah good I was having problems getting them up on my web page.

*a*jones* 04-01-03 01:14 PM

excellent, thanks!

*a*jones* 04-02-03 06:51 PM

can i use a pressure sensor from an S4? mine says N350 on it but the ones i have seen availible had a different number and they were from S4's

dmyers 04-14-03 03:29 PM

I replaced this vacuum hose recently as well and didn't see a pellet in the old hose. Is there somewhere one could buy this pellet?

It's not a restrictor pill in Mazda language. It's an orifice. Search engine on the top of the page will lead you to the part number.
