Pulled a check engine code 17, and 20 ..
 

O2 sensor voltage above .5 after 10 second fb system begining, and oil metering pump short.. ,, where do i start .. i was going to time the car. but from what the list said that the code 20 will have the timing fixed so i cant change it

I also figuired out why i dont have a check engine light and why my seat belt light was on all the time.. well the guy who owned the car before me i guess swapped out the idiot lights with a s4( i have a s5) and the check engine light on the s5 is where the seat belt light is on the s4. so all this time i was driving around thinking my seat belt light was messed up .. when it was the check engine light.. i figuired this out while i was trying to time the engine.. i grounded the bac so i could get a good base time.. and the belt light started blinking at me in sequence.. i had posted yesterday that i couldnt find my check light.. put 2 and 2 together and figuired that out ..

You are right on the codes. I had the 20 code and ended up changing the OMP. Find a use one that meets the specifications (about $50) and replace it. Then erase the code. The car should run even with the 17 code. The 02 sensor is about $17 at the auto part store.

change the o2 sensor, and reset the ecu, hopefully the mop code is a fluke

I have a 90' vert and to get rid of code 17 I installed a 02 sensor NGK 24036 (Sparkplugs.com, $35). It has the connector too. Bosch o2 sensors always gave me code 17 even after resetting the computer.

I had a code 17 in my 91 TII. It caused limp home mode.

The problem was a broken o2 sensor wire in the harness.

The fix was simple.

I ran a new wire from the o2 sensor straight thru the firewall to the ecu.

Problem fixed.
