Properly Cleaning Sunroof on 88'

Since I got my 88' GXL, the sunroof has never been able to function without putting a bit of pressure upwards on the sunroof to get it to unlatch from it's resting position. Is there a proper way to clean the rails or some other method that might help the sunroof open normally?

Thread moved into the 2nd gen tech section. My 10th Anniversary is the same way..definitely not normal. Welcome to the forum.

i've never pulled the whole thing to clean it, although i have had good luck with the Shin Etsu grease. Its is magic stuff, Honda uses it on everything
its Honda part number 08798-9013. i slobbered it on the sunroof and it works on its own now.
