Progress Pics of my Widebody Turbo Vert

Well, it's official, I have finally gone off the deep end.
I have decided to abandon my 10th AE widebody car (for sale for cheap btw, as a roller or shell with the bodywork done) and put everything into the vert. Time, money, space and a host of other factors have made the decision for me really. I will be keeping the 20b and installing it into the vert over the winter or when I pop the next engine which hopefully is not on the first day or within the first few months as has been the cases thus far. The engine is currently being rebuilt by Steve Kan of Gotham Racing. Everything has been cryo-treated and is currently being lapped, race clearanced, balanced along with a huge port job and host of other things including 3mm 1-piece ceramics with hardened/polished springs and new rotor housings. The rest of the engine periphirals will be the same as I have been running that can be seen and are listed in the links of my sig. The body will be one of a kind. I have taken Tri-Point Engineering flares and pushed them out further to accomodate even larger wheels/tires and still maintain the option of dropping the car to the ground. The fenders have also been dramatically reshaped to cover more of the tire which makes them look drastically better imho. The front bumper will remain the same as what I have, at least for now until the 3-rotor goes into it. Some custom sideskirts along the rocker will tie the front and rear flares together and not make the door arear look so flat. Then, all the side moulding will be filled in, including the front and rear bumper covers. The entire car will be painted white again and then the front end and all leading edges will be covered with Clear Armor (clear sheets of helicpter tape) to keep her looking good as I track the car on a regular basis, at least when it's running. Wheels are CCW's, 18x11 in front and 18x12 in the rear. Michelon Pilot Sports 295/30/18 in front and 335/30/18 in the rear. There will be room to fit 315/30 up front and 345/30 in the rear if I want. I doubt if there are any 2nd gens with more rubber on the road. I am hoping to have everything done for Sevenstock and plan on rolling along with the caravan down I-5 again this year. Some old and very recent pics and a complete list of mods can be seen in the links of my sig. I will update this thread as progress continues. That is not an rew. It has 3rd gen rotor housings, rotors, and port matched uim/tb. The rest is S4/S5 stuff. Turbo specs: Garret "Big Kahuna" T04S (.7 a/r) compressor housing 67mm compressor wheel T4 divided ceramic coated turbine housing (1.0 a/r) P-trim w/ v-band |
