Product Alert: ACT Streetlite flywheel PN: 600145

I bought a new flywheel, listed in the title, and the counterweight bolt holes on the flywheel were apparently drilled incorrectly. The bolts they provided match my OEM rear counterweight (S5) perfectly. But the corresponding hole on the flywheel is much too large. The same bolt won't even thread and I can slide it in and out as if it were a loose fitting dowel.

I got online chat support from ACT and they confirmed my part numbers. Someone from ACT is going to call me and we are going to compare what the correct bolt hole measurement should be and what I have on mine.

Apparently they have a batch of bad flywheels....

I have a new one waiting to be installed too. Interested to hear what you find.

HA!! I'm an idiot. Got a call from ACT. The holes on the flywheel are not threaded and you simply slide the bolt through and thread it into the counterweight. Mine is correct and I'm a noob idiot :) <flame suit on>

LOL, no worries I deserve any grief I get from this one...for whatever reason the idea of swapping directions on the bolts did not even occur to me

I agree, that would be rude and childish.

Let's be adults and just judge silently.
Implacably and forever.

HAHA!! It's kinda like if you're with your group of buds and one of you shits your pants and everyone knows it happened. Everyone has a choice to make, do they just kinda flush it (pun intended) and never speak of it again, or does it become that moment that is brought up for the rest of the guy's life!!

Rotary community...the choice is in your hands....
