Problems with my conversion, questions!

Ok I got a couple of problems going on here. This is a j-spec with new rotary aviation apex seals and a fresh rebuild, walbro... etc.
1) when I give the car gas, you can see air being pulled in through the afm, but then nothing happens. It stalls.
2) the engine isnt running too smooth either, im having a hard time setting the timing on it.
3) When I start it up it will idle at 800rpm and be smooth then it will rev itself up to 1.5-2k and just sit there.
4) How can I see if my OMP is pumping oil?

ok well I know the OMP isnt running, took about 3.5hours of idleing w/o oil getting injected, its probally ****ed up on the inside...

i'm running premix for the first week or two.

My rebuild got started up yesterday.

It won't idle under 1k right now. I still need to check the timing. I stabbed it pretty good though.

Just set the pulley to the left notch on it and then get the CAS and line the little dot s up on the gear bottom portion and note the needle positions. Drop it in and then move the housing part around a bit if the gear jumps bit.

I adjusted the little nut/bolt idle screw up so it has a high idle still.

I have fiddled with the throttle plate screw thing in the front(I think secondary opening?) but don't really know what I'm doing :D ;)

I think your car will be fine even though it didn't have much oil. Kevin said you really shouldn't use premix because it's a "Break in period". Your break in may have just been accelerated a bit. I would do some premix though just for precaution. :)

Not sure why your car stalls when you hit the gas. Mine kinda did that when the rpm was too low for it still. Maybe a Vac leak?

Good luck :D

You can generally see the oil travelling in the lines, just by looking at them. Check for vac leaks, they're almost always present somewhere and they kick the shit out of just about anybody's idle.

ill check for vac leaks, could there be something elcctrically wrong causing it to stuble when its given any gas? If I hold the gas down a bit, it starts to stall then it catches and revs up

That could be a weak spark. You said that you had trouble setting the timing . . meaning . . having trouble with getting a stable reading with your timing light?

ya, I guess I could try to ground everything DIY style and then try it again.
