problems help
 

hi

i have a 86 gxl and im having problem with the emissions and gas millage. first the car get horrible gas mileage . im geting like a little less then 150 mpg. second im having problems with the emission. when i first started the car i noticed i could smell gas inside and outside of the car . when i tried to get the car inspected it failed for co2 (i had 2.00 when it was suppose to be 1.05) and hydrocarbons (1226 when it was suppose to be 187) after ward i took it home and dropped the exaust and discovered the cat was puched out. so i ordered a univeral cat and put it on. when i started the i noticed that it didnt smell like gas but like burnt rotting eggs Which fucking stink id rather have the gas smell back. however when i took it back to inspection the cat did cut all my numbers in half. im no longer failing for co2 only for Hyrdocarbon which it still at 576 If any one know how to increase gas milage and get rid of the fow odor please let me know. i believe everything is factory on the car except the exhaust which is some no name peice of shit and dont know y it is doing this beside that the car runs good
