Problems with 5th and reverse
 

i recently swapped out my tranny from my 86 n/a rx7 to one with "lower" mileage it ran fine shifted perfectly no problems , that is until i installed into my car then it wouldn't shift into 5th or reverse before i installed into my car i was sure to change the pilot bearing and throw out bearing not sure what the problems could be , can anyone offer any opinions. oh one more thing when i went to put the shifter in i noticed that the clip that the shifter is around was completley broken i was sure to take all the broken pieces out . any ideas would greatly be appreciated thanks :)
