problem, how to fix? TPS and throttle assembly
hey guys whats up i think i found my problem, at idle, on my SAFC my throtle read 43% when i was completely off the gas. well at first i thought it was the TPS it was reading 2.1 ohms at idle, well when i turned the screw to release the pressure, nothing changed so i thought it was my TPS
but if ur lookiing at the screw, there is a spring behing it so when u loosen the screw the two plates separate. well i loosened the screw but the plates didn't separate, i tried jamming a flat head screw driver in there but that didn't work. oh and i also loostened the main nut. should i try some carb cleaner and some WD 40? |
remove the TPS and actuate it by hand, does the OHM readings change?
If you screw in on the screw, does the arm move? You may have a bad TPS, and maxed out the adjustment range. PaulC |
i havea new TPS, seems to be the same travel on the sensor.
