Pressure valve??

Ok..this is kinda long but I need explain so everyone understands what I'm trying to ask......

Although not ACE certified, I can hold my own with most cars, but the Rx-7 is not 'most'. A while back I did a brake job on a Chevy Suburban for a friend and when we were bleeding the brakes, the brake light came on. Truck would stop just fine but this damn light would not go out.......after several minutes of going over the work, I found the problem. The pressure regulator valve has a plunger which when pushed to one side, closes the circuit, hence the brake light. If the brakes are bled appropriately, the plunger remains in the 'middle' position.....no light. So we bled the valve, did the whole system again, and the light went off....truck stops fine. (New bearings, re-surfaced disks, rebuilt calipers)

Sooooooo, my question is: Does the 2ndGen have something similar? I'm about to tackle the brakes on my 91 but I do not want to get in a bunch of little issues.
