prepping for a radiator install
what should i do to prepare my car for installing a radiator? (koyo to be specific)

Get the foam that goes around the rad. Coolant. I think for the Koyo, you use the stock mounting brakets from the OE rad...so dont throw it away too quickly.
Other than that...its straight forward. |

how about flushing the system & chit like that? & i found the write-up for a fluidyne install on fc3s.org, but yeah it looks straightforward :D thnx |

buy on of those little yellow prestone coolant system flush bottles from your local parts store. follow instructions on bottle. OR (proceed at own risk) and follow the HIGHLY controvesial procedures outlined by RETed on his website http://fc3s-pro.com
As for the foam. I had some OE foam around the top and bottom of my rad. I guess its there to provide a better air seal to channel the air into the rad. You can buy the stuff at Home Depot and sut it on with double sided tape. |
