Power Window broke

Ok, did a search but most were switch/electrial related. Heres the deal. My Dr window hardley goes down and bogs down and sounds like something is binding up. It does however go up perfectly. I tore the door panel off and couldnt really find anything. but I did find a cable with a bunch of white balls on it laying on the bottom of the door. Any Ideas??? Thanks for the help

Samething happened to mine couple weeks ago, checked all the wires, relay, and fuse. Ended up to be the contact plates under the switch needs to be cleaned (little rust + dirt), i just cleaned it up with sandpaper and wiped with varsor then wiped with a clean towel again. Then works prefect, dunno if thats the same case for you tho.

Or might even be just the rubbers getting harden over time. xD

That "cable" is part of the power transmission from the motor to the window.
The online FSM is light on info about the power windows and I have no real experience with them...but your problem is physical, not electrical.

You could try cleaning the windows tracks out (dirt / dust accumulates over time) and re-applying white lithium grease to them.

If you take off the passenger door panel, you can compare them to see if you have a mechanical problem. If not, plus one for cleaning and lubing the tracks.
