Power Steering to Non-power steering
Ok, the search feature is disable and I really need a quick answer.
Due to a fmic kit I got and the time I have is limited, I need the car to be working by friday morning. Due to the fitment of the kit I had to remove the power steering pump temporaly till I find a way to make the a pipe fit or get a manual rack. The question is, what do I do with the left over hose. I did try to drain from the return the oil by turning the wheel left to right, but should I plug it now? How about the two other hoses that are meant for pressure? Any insight will be helpful since I can't have the hoses leaking at the track. C |
take all of the hoses off, leaving just enough to join togther the two hoses coming out of the rack. put atf in the hoses, it'll act as lube; you're just joining the hoses together to equalize rack pressure.
Sean EDIT: TYPE F atf |
how about the return line, the one not pressurized?
