Power drops off before it should...

I just put on an RP 50 mm cat-back and Bonez double-cat system. It seemed to lower the amount of power I was getting under 4000 RPM, so I put my aux port actuators back on. Now, my power seems to drop off from 6000 up, but I have my power back under 4000 too. I thought the HP peak was at 7000, so how do I raise the peak to 7000 since it seems to be 6000 now? I'm very tired right now, so I'm sorry if this looks like it was typed as fast as possible, it was. Thanks.

Doesn't anyone have an idea?

Maybe your aux ports actuators arent working properly? If they arent opening completely, you would get a drop in power in higher rpm (compared to when then where open all the time).

I'd guess that the new exhaust system has raised your maximum HP to a higher rpm and, in turn, dropped your hp output below 4000rpm.

I checked the actuators before I reinstalled them. I got a long piece of silicone hose and hooked them up while having them sitting next to me in the car, then I went for a drive. They opened up at about 5000, which is late, but I would bet that's because of the long hose so the pressure had to build up. I know for sure they're opening...could it be anything else?

Do you feel the power fall off at 6000rpm when they are disconected/wired open?

Well....I'm not sure. It kinda seems to be more noticeable since I put them back on, but I'm not sure how it was before I put them back on. I did it to get some of my low-end power back, and didn't expect a drop above 6000. If they are for sure opening, is there anything else that could cause this? Thanks.

You're going to have to try to isolate the problem... I'd try taking them off again and seeing how the car behaves. If the power still drops off at 6000rpm, then you know that's not your problem.

The only thing you've changed on the car is the exhaust right? So, if it isnt the actuators, thats the next place you should be looking.
