My car is an 87 base, came without AC, PS, PW, PL, but came with security and sunroof. It also has the two backseats. The original owner's wife told me that they got it because the kids could ride in the backseat. poor kids.
But the real story is that the original owner is Joe Stiglitz, Clinton's former Chief Economic Advisor and Nobel Prize winner in Economics. For such a smart guy, he couldn't even care for the car. It was in multiple fender benders, so the paint is mismatched, the car was so filled with trash that the bomb sniffing dogs out by the White House signaled it (they could smell all of the fast food wrappers). He let the transmission run dry and they had a junkyard one installed. I bought the car last year with less than 50,000 miles. He and his wife are getting a divorce, and she was selling the car. I am her trainer in DC. It was a great deal for me, because I took the car to a shop to have an inspection done. it needed transmission bearings, engine and coolant flush, trailing coil, new clutch, discs resurfaced, new lights and replaced tailight. She paid for all the work, I added $500 to that, and paid for it all with personal training. I got everything for half price, because the club did not get their cut of the training price, and I did not pay taxes on the income I was not actually paid for. It took under a year to pay her for it, and I still train her.

That's hilarious... I wonder what the sticker was of?? "AC" with a red circle around it and line through it? LOL
I have those cell phone holes and antenna on my 90 GXL as well.... I though it was from the previous owner!
I'd like to fill those holes- it looks like crap.
I also have (had) door subwoofers too, in my 90 GXL, but not in my 88 GXL

I was reading my owner's manual and found mine had optional headlight squirters and headlight wipers.
Something I wish I had was the stereo controls on the center console like in the verts

Does anyone know of a source for thte head light washers/wipers? I have a Vert, so weight isn't a huge issue, I just like gadgets and toys. The more options the better.
I'd like to add that feature.

On the US ones you pull the lever and the high beams of the headlights flash throw the FTPs. ON the Jap ones, you pull the lever and the headlights pop up, with high beams on, and the lamps in the ftp light up, I think.
