Post Emissions removal, no idle

So i just finished my emissions removal following the rotary resurrection guide on my 91 fc i kept my bac and thermowax, but now the car wont start unless i pump the gas and it wont hold idle. Any ideas?

Yup. You have a vacuum leak. Happens 95% of the time someone attempts this.

Pressure test or smoke test.

or carb cleaner and fire department

ah my favorite thing to do is burn all my money thats why i bought this car

RotaryEvolution 04-11-17 11:01 AM

well yeah, apparently. which is why you ignored all the warnings about bothering with an emissions delete.

Rules are for squares, ill deal with an idle issue than a million 25 year old hoses and rails :) thank you though ill do a smoke test i probably missed a nipple

RotaryEvolution 04-11-17 11:36 AM

that made absolutely no sense, how's your car doing better now, after you did the work?

the hoses are only ever a problem AFTER someone has been in there with clumsy hands, bumping into everything. and it takes me about 5 minutes to change them to new while i'm in there, and they lasted 20 years? so, yeah.

infinitely more people botch putting on blockoff plates and capping ALL the nipples that need it versus cutting a hose to length, pulling the old one off and slipping the new one in its place.

So what was the problem?

Tairon 04-11-17 12:09 PM

A combination of things, i had a vacuum leak and i had to readjust my tps, i had to do this anyways because i just finished the auto to manual swap and the idles are different. Im getting an adaptronics ecu and ill adjust my fuel to air ratio and make it run better then. No fire department was used in this scenario.
